UMAR BARF(ICE AGE):
The other day I came across an article by "Shameem Akhtar" in "Mumbai Mirror."That article was printed on 16th of May,2006 to be precise.
I was relieved to see that someone out there does think the way I do.I mean,it is so weird to see "Sid" of Ice Age speak in Hindi! Hey,I am not saying that I am ashamed of my National language.No,am not.What I am trying to say here is that, it is as weird to see "Harry Potter" call his house as "garud-dwaar" as,Amitabh Bachchan delivering his dialogues in someone else's voice for the English version of his movies!!!!
I am as against of Harry or Sid speaking in Hindi as Amitabh Bachchan or Priety Zinta being dubbed in English!! I do understand that we live in a country where we have majority of our people speaking in different languages,but English.Understandable.But what I am saying is that, as Shameem Akhtar put it :-lets have our freedom to choose our language.We should be given a choice of languages.People who want to watch in Hindi can watch in Hindi and the ones who want to watch in English can watch in English.
What I demand is the freedom of choosing our interests.
What say folks?
